Related teachings are planned on December 9 and 10, the actual initiation is planned for December 11 and 12. It will take place at the Anfiteatro del Colegio Universitario de San Juan. He is going to give the initiation on the basis of a painted cloth mandala in the Abhayakaragupta tradition, rather than on the basis of a sand mandala. It can be done in two or three days. Kalu Rinpoche and Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche gave this initiation and Sakya Trinzin still does. Jhado Rinpoche would have the lineage. This is not the grand Kalachakra empowerment that His Holiness gives but it is a Kalachakra major empowerment of the full three mandalas of body, speech and mind rather than a jenang.
