David Crosby & Graham Nash, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and Los Lobos — along with some very special surprise guests!  — will help Seva kick off our 30th year of service with a benefit concert at the Oakland Paramount Theatre on Saturday, September 27.

The evening will be hosted by our very own  world-famous clown, activist and Seva cofounder and board member, Wavy Gravy.  And just as it's been for 30 years of great shows, all proceeds will benefit Seva's efforts to build sustainable, grassroots solutions to poverty and disease in communities around the world.

"Seva has given so much help to so many thousands of people over the years," says singer Bonnie Raitt.  "It's a wonderful example of love in action."  Raitt joins a long list of artists who have supported Seva's work throughout its 30-year history.

Jackson Browne, another long time supporter, says "Seva has made an extraordinary contribution to the world — not only through their international programs, but here in some of the most impoverished communities in North America, on Native American reservations."

"It's hard to believe we've been doing these shows for 30 years now," says Wavy, the inimitable MC of the original Woodstock festival. "But people love the music, and they love Seva. The programs are well run and the money goes just where the donors intend. With Seva, there's a neat, clean line of trust from the heart, to the wallet, to the field."

Naturally, with a line-up like this, the show has already sold out, but you can read more about it and past shows on the Seva Events page.
